Ms. Nadine Ramsey serves as Of Counsel to Hardwick Law Firm, LLC. As a former judge of the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans, Nadine adjudicated cases as a civil judge and domestic relations judge. She presided over cases involving simple as well as complex litigation, including class actions involving torts, personal injury, insurance, contract disputes and city tax and public bid laws. She served as Chief Judge for two years during her tenure with the Court.
Nadine is also a former member of the New Orleans City Council, where she served for four years as a community leader. During that time she promulgated legislation that governed the City, regulated public utilities, and reviewed major economic development projects for the City.
Prior to her time with the Council, Nadine was a partner in Pailet, Ramsey and Ostendorf, LLC and handled a broad range of matters including litigation, media and entertainment matters. She also handled matters involving Louisiana incentives for motion picture investor tax credits and digital interactive media tax credits.
Previously, Nadine served as Chief Legal Counsel for a state healthcare authority, performing general counsel roles related to the authority’s goals. While serving in this role, she provided legal advice to the authority’s Board, Chief Executive Officer and Agency Administrators, and the ten medical centers under their jurisdiction.
Nadine is also a mediator at Mediation Arbitration Professional Systems, Inc. (MAPS).
